Stereo Camera Plate for Raspberry Pi

Stereo shooting with Raspberry Pi camera

This plate is useful for stereo photography with two Raspberry Pi cameras mounted in parallel.
It has a sliding mechanism to adjust the camera-to-camera distance according to the size and distance of the subject, and can also be used with Raspberry Pi cameras (V2, V3, HQ, global shutter cameras) or third-party cameras using the same size base.

Adjustable distance between cameras

The pedestal for the camera on the stereo camera plate can be slid to adjust the distance between the two cameras.
The distance between the cameras can be adjusted according to the size and distance of the subject.
Both the left and right sides can slide 5 mm, allowing adjustment between 54 mm and 74 mm.

By aligning the stereo camera plate with the groove at the top of the slider, the camera-to-camera distance can be set to 64 mm, ideal for 3D photography.

Camera Integration

The camera mounting on the plate depends on the camera and conversion module to be used.
Please refer to the following page for the installation method.

Aluminum die-cast

The stereo camera plate is made of die-cast aluminum for robustness and durability, so there are no problems with distortion.

Camera screw holes

The stereo camera plate has standard 1/4-20” threaded holes in photographic equipment for convenient camera mounting, so it can be secured to a tripod, head, or attached to a threaded level.

Supports cable extension modules

The stereo camera plate can be used with an integrated module to change the cable connecting the camera to an HDMI or LAN cable.

For example, in the photo above, two Raspberry Pi cameras connected to a Raspberry Pi 5 are connected to the stereo camera plate. The cable is FFC, which is too short and inconvenient, so a 1.5m HDMI cable is used, converted to HDMI with the CSI-HDMI conversion module.

The THine Cable Extension Kit THSER102A converts the cable to Ethernet and allows the camera to be extended up to 10 meters using a LAN cable, increasing the flexibility of the camera’s installation and routing.

Cable Extension Set

We also sell a set that includes an HDMI conversion kit and an Ethernet conversion kit, as well as the cables and levels necessary for connection. Since all necessary items are included, simply connect the camera and it is ready to use.
