What is Sapphire Glass?
Sapphire glass is a high-performance material offering exceptional hardness, chemical resistance, and weather resistance. Its excellent scratch and degradation resistance helps maintain stable optical performance even during long-term use in harsh environments.
AR / FR Coatings
The sapphire glass features an AR (Anti-Reflective) coating on both sides and an FR (Fouling-Resistant) coating on one side, helping reduce reflections while protecting the optical surface from contamination.
■ AR Coating (Anti-Reflection)
Reduces surface reflections and improves light transmission, minimizing glare and reflections for clearer images with higher contrast.
■ FR Coating (Fouling Resistance)
A protective coating that helps repel water droplets, oil, and other contaminants. It makes the surface less prone to dirt and easier to clean, helping reduce maintenance requirements.
O-ring and panel structure
O-ring sealing provides a high level of water resistance.
Validation Testing (Pressure)
Proven waterproof performance for use even in underwater environments
A water pressure test equivalent to a depth of 50 meters (5 atmospheres) was conducted, confirming that there was no water ingress into the enclosure.
